Ewan Gliniecki will represent Highland Boxing Academy in Nairn.

Alness fighter Ewan Gliniecki will be one of 12 boxers who will be competing in the ring against top fighters from south of the border.

He is one of six Highland Boxing Academy (HBA) fighters who will be joining forces with athletes from Jacobite Boxing Club who will be taking on top fighters from Yorkshire at a special exhibition at Nairn Community and Arts Centre on October 13.

Gliniecki has been touted as one of the top boxing prospects in the Highlands and is believed to be on the verge of receiving a call-up for Scotland.

HBA head coach Liam Foy says it will be a chance for Gliniecki to test himself against a new opponent.

"There are opponents in Scotland he can take on but there are few that are able to match his level," said Foy.
