Almost all football and rugby matches in Highlands postponed due to snow

Football and rugby matches in Inverness and Ross-shire have been scrapped this weekend due to the winter weather which has hit the area.

Clachnacuddin have confirmed their Highland League clash with Banks O'Dee scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed due to a snowbound pitch.

It follows Inverness Caledonian Thistle confirming earlier this afternoon their Scottish Cup tie with Queen's Park has also been ruled out tomorrow due to snow.

The North Caledonian League have confirmed five of their six matches scheduled for tomorrow have been postponed.

Only Nairn County A v Fort William at Nairn Academy scheduled for a 1pm kick-off is still scheduled to go ahead at present.

In Rugby, Highland v Kelso at Canal Park has been called off due to a snowbound pitch.

However, the Caledonia North Two clash between Highland 2nd XV and Ross Sutherland could still go ahead with a pitch inspection tomorrow morning.

The match will take place at 2pm if it goes ahead.
