HIGHLAND’s youth section mirrored the successes of the club’s senior team and these achievements were honoured at their annual awards night.

The under-18s finished as joint runners-up in the inaugural Under-18 National League and also triumphed in the Caledonia Cup.

There was a double celebration for Highland’s under-16s, who were joint winners of the North League in their age group, as well as the Caledonia Shield, while the under-15s were also crowned North League champions.

These victories saw the club recognised at national level with several players representing Caledonia at under-16 and under-17 level. Two players — Lyall Archer and Bruce Flockhart — are also heading off with Scotland under-17s for a training camp in Spain.

The individual award winners for each age group were as follows:

Player of the year — Oscar Baird (under-18), Charlie Wilson (under-16) and Lewis Marshall (under-15). Players player of the year — Sean Blair (under-18), Euan Milton (under-16) and Richie Dinnes (under-15). Most improved player — Fionnlagh Call (under-18), Stig McArthur (under-16), Robbie Wilson (under-15).
