Nairn High street zero waste shop and cafe The Highland Way gets nod from Highland MSP Emma Roddick

A NAIRN zero waste shop and café which opened on the High Street in late 2022 has been praised by a local MSP.

Highlands and Islands MSP Emma Roddick visited The Highland Weigh last week.

She shared her praise for the work of the shop and social enterprise on her social media channels.

She said: "It was great to visit the Highland Weigh in Nairn this week and pick up some sustainable household items.

"The zero-waste refill shop makes reducing your carbon footprint so easy. I'd encourage anyone in the area to pop in for a visit!"

A social enterprise, The Highland Weigh took over the premises of clothing store on Burnett & Forbes in November, bringing together a cosy café and a plastic-free shop, encouraging customers to bring and refill their own containers.
