2010 X Factor winner Matt Cardle will play an Inverness date next month.

The singer went straight to number one after winning the seventh series of the talent show with When We Collide – his version of Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro’s Many Of Horror.

Last week, Matt announced the arrival of his highly-anticipated debut single Run For Your Life and album Letters – both out in October.

And tickets for his Inverness Ironworks gig on September 28 will go on sale on Saturday at 9am from the venue.

Matt is quoted as saying: “After months of being in the studio I can’t wait to get out and actually play some of the tracks live before the album comes out.

“I also thought it would be fun to play these small shows somewhere a little bit off the beaten track.”

Since winning X Factor, Matt has spent the last four months writing and recording his debut album.

The first single will be released on October 9 ahead of the album which is out on October 17.

Tickets go on sale with a maximum of four tickets per person.

The show has an age restriction with 14+ under 16s having to be accompanied by an adult. ID will be required on the night.
