BOOSTED BEFORE THE BELLS: Inverness Vaccination Centre is open today for Covid-19 appointments for boosters, first and second doses - but medics warn 'do NOT attend' if you have any Coronavirus symptoms

NHS Highland has called on anyone who wants to get boosted to attend a drop in centre today.

In a statement the health board said no appointment was needed - people have just to drop in to the vaccination clinic at 1 Highlander Way until 3.30pm today.

A spokeswoman for NHS Highland said: "Announcement! The Inverness Vaccination Centre is accepting walk-in Covid-19 vaccination appointments Tuesday December 28 2021.

"You can drop in for your booster, 1st, and 2nd dose. You can get your booster and 2nd dose12 weeks apart now.

"Please let us know when booking in if you have any mobility issues to make arrangements for you to be vaccinated downstairs.

"Just drop-in - no appointment is needed!"

She continued: "Do not attend any clinics if you have even mild Coronavirus symptoms if you are self-isolating or living with someone who is self-isolating due to coronavirus.

"Please do not attend for your vaccination until their period of isolation is over even if you have a negative PCR test result, or have tested positive in the last 4 weeks (12 weeks for under 18s) first or the second dose."
