Work underway to build an extension to a former pleasure cruiser while it is moored in at Muirtown Basin in Inverness

A transformation of a former pleasure steamer is currently taking place in Inverness.

Contractor have been working under protective sheets on the vessel in recent weeks while it is moored at Muirtown Basin.

It is understood that the boat, which is called Loch Ness, used to be used for pleasure cruises and the work will add an additional extension.

The owner was not available for comment.
