Work on new prison in Inverness could start soon – portable offices and security measures are now in place at the site

Work looks set to start soon on a new prison for Inverness.

A number of portable offices as well as security equipment are now in place at the site near Inverness Shopping Centre and the UHI campus.

No one from the Scottish Prison Service was available to comment on any likely start date for the project.
