Woman charged with stealing from elderly man in Inverness

A woman is due to appear in court today in connection with a theft from an elderly man in Inverness.

A police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that a 29-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a theft from an elderly man in the Dalneigh area of Inverness.

"The incident happened during the evening of Wednesday, June 10 at a cash machine on Lochalsh Road.

"The woman is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on June 12."

Inspector Alastair Garrow said: "We are grateful to everyone who has assisted with information about this incident.

"We would always encourage people to watch out for vulnerable members of our communities and if you have any concerns about potential criminal activity to report them to police on 101 as promptly as possible."
