A woman assaulted a door assistant in Inverness night spot Johnny Foxes by spitting on his face then yelled: "A Scotsman put my dog down."
Rosalind Austin (45), from Halifax, was approached by the steward and challenged about a bottle of whisky she had in her bag on the late evening of May 5.
Fiscal depute Emily Hood told Sheriff Gary Aitken that Austin tried to push past the steward and he seized her wrists to restrain her.
Austin resisted him and bit him on one of his knuckles, cutting him and forcing him to let go of her.
Austin then grabbed his glasses from his face and squeezed them, causing a lens to fly out.
Miss Hood said Austin then spat on his cheek and yelled: "A Scotsman put my dog down."
At this point a second door assistant who had called the police, intervened and his face was spat on also, heard Inverness Sheriff Court.
Austin, of St James Street, Halifax, appeared for sentence after earlier admitting on indictment a charge of assault to injury by biting and spitting and and another of assault by spitting.
Sheriff Aitken ordered a criminal justice and social work report be prepared on Austin and continued her bail until December 14 when she will be sentenced.
