GLOBE-trotting motorcycle adventurer Nick Sanders' travels will bring him to Inverness for a special documentary screening later today (Thursday).

Mr Sanders has circumnavigated the world multiple times and set a number of world records – including the first such record for cycling round the globe in 1981.

His feats, which include a still current world record for fastest ride around the coast of Great Britain, as well as cycle adventures through the Sahara and also to the source of the White Nile, saw him awarded an MBE in 2019 for services to endurance cycling and motorcycling.

And he will be showcasing his latest film documenting his achievements at a special screening in Mitchells Motorcycles tonight (Thursday).

More community news.

"We will be welcoming Nick Sanders to the shop for an evening to hear all about his travels around the world," said a spokesperson for the motorcycle dealership.

"Nick has been travelling around the world since 1980 and has most recently accomplished it on a Yamaha Tenere 700!

"Starting at 7pm, please join us for coffee and cake and a viewing of his latest film documenting his extraordinary achievements. Looking forward to seeing your all."

Entry is £5, which will include refreshments and a book from Mr Sanders.
