Springfield Properties has been granted planning permission to build up to 130 homes in Cradlehall.

Its plans are for the development of a six-hectare site at Easterfield Farm, which the firm says will bring much-needed residential properties to the area, with a mix of energy efficient house types included in the masterplan.

Set to the south of Culloden Road and to the east of Drumossie Brae, the development is surrounded by beautiful landscape with the masterplan designed to complement the existing community and nearby woodland area.

In line with the Scottish Government’s 20-minute neighbourhood model, provisions have also been made for a network of active travel routes, with walking and cycle paths along the edge of the site, connecting the community to shops, a garden centre, nursery and primary school.

Dave Main, Springfield Properties managing director (north), said: “When designing developments, our vision is always to create places where residents are proud to call home.

“Cradlehall is a thriving community within Inverness, surrounded by beautiful woodland and countryside, while enjoying close proximity to key amenities and the city centre.

“The approval of Easterfield Farm will see a mix of energy-efficient, quality homes brought to Inverness, enhancing existing neighbourhoods, supporting local economic development and helping to address the demand for new homes within the region.

“We’re looking forward to moving forward with our plans for Eastfield soon.”
