Three organisations serving up meals for free, or a small donation, during the coronavirus lockdown have published a list of their availability.

In some cases meals can also be delivered to homes for those in the shielding category.

The In This Together Café, Inverness Foodstuffs and the Salvation Army, along with voluntary group Acts of Kindness Inverness and Highlands, have pulled together a list showing just how many places there are to get a meal.

In This Together, based at 86 Church Street, is offering meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12.30-1.30pm as well as an evening meal on Mondays from 5-6pm.

The charity is also offering a free food for people to take away to make their own meals at home.

The Salvation Army, at 20 Tomnahurich Street, offers soup and sandwiches from 9am on a Wednesday and Friday.

And Inverness Foodstuff offers hot meals from its base at Ness Bank Church on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 1.30-2.30pm.

Anyone who needs help getting food due to shielding or another reason and is able to cook at home – or anyone would like a meal delivered – should contact Act of Kindness Inverness on Facebook.
