What's the new speed limit on this Inverness road?
People driving through an Inverness city centre road this week were confused by contrasting signage.
As new 20mph speed limit signs are being introduced in parts of Inverness as part of a Highland Council’s scheme to improve road safety, some 30mph speed limit signs have remained in place – such as the ones in Dochfour Drive, in Dalneigh.
Highland Council confirmed these are due to ‘anomalies’ as they roll out the new signs.
Many took on social media to express their confusion on the new set-up.

A Highland Council spokesman said: “Installation of the 20mph signage is still ongoing.
“The signage delivery programme is being introduced across Highland in 125 towns, villages, and Inverness city at pace and as such there will be anomalies in terms of signage installation, these are currently being picked up as part of this programme of works and will be remedied at the earliest opportunity.”
