THERE is light at the end of the tunnel now.

That follows the announcement of key dates in a roadmap out of lockdown.

But what have you missed the most during numerous lockdowns and in particular the most recent one which started on Boxing Day.

April 5 will see hairdressers and barbers reopen, homeware stores, car showrooms and garden centres.

All other non-essential retail will open from April 26, as will libraries, museums and galleries, bars, cafes, hotels and restaurants can begin serving customers again outdoors, with some limited indoor opening to start with.

Cinemas, amusement arcades, bingo halls and outdoor and indoor events will get the green light from May 17.

By the beginning of June every area in Scotland should be in level 1, and level zero by the end of that month.

Don't forget, the STAY AT HOME advice remains in place until April 5, so it is important you adhere to the rules for a little while longer, and observe social distancing when you have to go out for essential purposes.

Good hand hygiene and face coverings are also important.

The success of the vaccine programme meant that First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was able to provide dates for the easing of lockdown.

So, for a bit of fun and amusement, take part in our 'What have you missed' poll. There are no prizes and it is by no means a definitive list, so apologies if the thing you have missed the most is not there.

Stay safe for now, but start to get excited about doing the things you have missed, with the people you have missed the most.
