Time to get your diary out as the sorely missed Highland Business Week is making a return this September after a three-year absence.

Organised by Inverness Chamber of Commerce, the 2022 Highland Business Week will take place from September 26-30 after the pandemic intervened.

The unmissable showcase provides businesses with an opportunity to network and to celebrate the strength and diversity of businesses across the Highlands and Islands.

Multiple events will run over the course of the week including the main networking opportunities – the Highland Spotlight Exhibition and the Highland Business Awards.

And for Paula Nicol, deputy chief executive at Inverness Chamber of Commerce, those are indeed the main highlights of the week.

“We are delighted to welcome back businesses for a full Highland Business Week,” she said.

“It’s a focal point in the business event calendar and I think it’s such a good opportunity for people to get together, collaborate and recognise what businesses across the Highlands are achieving.

“Highland Spotlight is an excellent forum for companies coming together as business always happens between exhibitors and visitors.

“The Spotlight exhibition allows for beneficial networking, meaningful conversations, partnerships and initiatives to take place.”

The Highland Business Awards will wrap up the week on Friday, where there are 11 categories for nominations, plus one business will also be named overall Highland Business of the Year.

Last year’s newly introduced categories ??? are retained with some slight changes and some additional awards in the mix.

Ms Nicol added: “There is such a breadth and diversity of businesses across the Highlands and there will be a range of events for everyone.

“It will be good to look at the strength and vibrancy that business brings to the area and celebrate the resilience of the business community.

“The week provides everyone a good chance to reflect on the challenges we’ve overcome but equally to look toward the opportunities that we have.”

Applications for nominations open today and these plus all the booking details for tickets and for the exhibition can be found on the Inverness Chamber of Commerce website.
