With tourist season fast approaching and lockdown rules now becoming a thing of the past, we wanted to find out the best place to eat in Inverness.

We took to the city streets to ask the local’s where they would recommend for a decent bite to eat....

Alistair Coutts, Retired:

“If you want a good breakfasty type meal or macaroni cheese then ‘Comfort Foods’ is excellent! But if you want to go out for a nice evening, ‘The Mustard Seed’ has got to be top dollar!!"

“Comfort foods! Really nice food, nice portion sizes and really nice staff! It is a local, small place. Cash only. Perfect!”

Ashlee Martin, School Pupil:

“I’d say ‘Cayote’, the burger place. They have really big portion sizes and the dirty fries are really nice!"

Diane Sutherland, Retail:

“I recommend people go to ‘Comfort Foods’ actually. Its full of home baking, amazing soups and they do great meals! That’s where I recommend!”
