Ever wondered what it would be like to driver a train?

LNER has released footage for the first time of a train driver’s eye view along part of the route of the Highland Chieftain service.

The journey from Inverness to Edinburgh has been filmed from the cab of an Azuma train.

It is part of a series of in-cab journeys along parts of the LNER route.

A spokeswoman said: "Over the past few weeks, we have been releasing a different journey each week on the LNER YouTube channel. It is the first time the films have been shared in their entirety with our social media audiences, who have once again helped select this week’s film by taking part in an online poll."

They offer viewers the chance to enjoy some of the country’s stunning scenery from the comfort of their own home.

Other routes featured on the LNER YouTube channel include London King’s Cross-Leeds, Leeds-Harrogate, Edinburgh-Newcastle and Edinburgh-London King’s Cross.
