WATCH: People from all over the world gather at Red Hot Highland Fling in Inverness to celebrate Hogmanay

AMONG the crowd of more than 5000 that gathered in Inverness city centre last night were people from all over Scotland and the world.

Visitors from Belgium, Germany and Banff joined locals for a night of music in the first public celebration for New Year's eve after a gap forced by Covid restrictions.

Despite the chilly weather, everyone warmed up at the idea of taking part to the celebrations at the Red Hot Highland Fling and shout the countdown together with fellow revellers.

We spoke to some of them before the concert kicked off.
