An investigation is looking into how a police car came off the road and collided with parked vehicles in a dealership forecourt in Inverness.

The police car is understood to have been driving along Harbour Road towards Millburn Road before being involved in a collision, ending at Park’s Honda.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 2.45pm today emergency services were called to Harbour Road, Inverness, following a two-car crash involving a police vehicle. The male driver of the other car was checked over by paramedics at the scene.

“The road was closed for a short time while the cars were cleared off the roadway and was reopened at around 4pm. Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.”

The video footage was captured by passer-by Nigel Crawford.
