WATCH & PICTURES: Hundreds of people see free Peat & Diesel gig in Inverness

Estimates of around 1000 people, if not more, watched a free Peat & Diesel gig in Inverness this afternoon.

Stornoway’s most famous export performed in Falcon Square at lunchtime.

The Revvin' Up for Christmas event also included a chance to meet the popular trio inside Eastgate Shopping Centre.

People sang along with the band to hits like Island and Western Isles, during the performance which lasted around 30 minutes.

Some also queued to get autographs, selfies and merchandise from the band.

The event also supported mental health charity Mikeysline and MFR Cash for Kids.
