A Scottish singer and songwriter 'raised the roof' at Inverness Leisure last night.

Callum Beattie who is known for singing Salamander Street, played a sold out gig to lots of fans.

Kids who were in the audience even got a chance to go on stage, while he was performing.

He was the last act to play over the weekend, after three days of gigs organised by LCC Live Events, which also included Skerryvore and Abba tribute band Bjorn Again.

Les Kidger, director of LCC Live Events, said: “The weekend was exceptional with three acts giving amazing performances.

“Skerryvore were phenomenal, Bjorn Again gave an incredible performance and Callum Beattie blew the roof off.”

A highlight of the weekend for Les and his team was the traffic that it brought into the city, with bars and restaurants bustling from gig goers.

He added: “We do gigs at Inverness Leisure every year, and I think that this weekend was the best year we have had yet.

“We all had a great time and it was great to see the impact that it had on the city, with people going into town before and after the gigs.”
