It was a day marked with fun, dance and great tunes at an Inverness shopping centre with the launch of two new spaces.

TFX Performing Arts Academy and Lil Beatz opened a brand new studio on the ground floor at Eastgate Shopping Centre which will be offering dance classes to toddlers and children.

The launch was part of a free family fun day which also saw the opening of charity Highland Action for Little One's (HALO) donation drop-off centre, with performances from Highland Voices and TFX pupils.

Expressing her enthusiasm, founder of TFX, Sally Robertson said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Eastgate Centre. There's a real sense of community here, and the Centre has been incredibly supportive and encouraging with everyone's efforts."

The celebration, marking the first birthday for HALO, saw also the official handover of funds raised for the charity during the Christmas season at the Eastgate Centre with Santa's Grotto.

The charity aims to support children and families in need across the Highlands by providing essential items.

Eastgate manager Chris Kershaw said: “‘We are excited to have TFX and Lil Beatz joining us here at Eastgate. It adds something new and exciting to the centre and I’m looking forward to the energy it will bring! Working with them to open the grotto was a great experience and in supporting HALO they are helping a great charity in Inverness."
