HOLLYWOOD star Karen Gillan has released a new short horror film to mark the launch of her new YouTube channel.

The Invernessian actor and director posted a new short, which she wrote and directed, last night.

Sharing the link via her Twitter account, she said: "Here is a link to a short horror film I wrote and directed called The Hoarding! I also show up for a brief little stint in the film. Turn the lights off and enjoy..."

The 14 minute short centres around the character of Mary, who is hired to clean a hoarder's home where "she finds much more than she bargained..."

And it has already won plenty of positive feedback from fans, who praised the "amazing" film, "awesome" camera work and spooky atmosphere.
