WATCH: Fundraising record for Nairn community choir

A Nairn community choir has raised its largest amount of funding yet for local good causes.

The Accidentals held its Christmas Concert at the United Reform Church in Nairn to raise funds for Nairn Hydrotherapy Pool and Wheels in Nairnshire.

The festive spirit of the occasion helped the choir reaching their biggest fundraising sum at an event – reaching almost £1600.

Choir secretary Cath Stevenson said: "It was an amazing success, we had a full church on the day! We ran out of cups for refreshments for the first time.

"We are completely blown away by the reception we received at our Christmas Concert on Saturda

"We've raised nearly £1600 for Nairn Hydrotherapy Pool and Wheels in Nairnshire – It's the most ever.

"We ate also welcoming some new members and we've also had some amazing comments on social media – such positive vibes!"

The choir finished off their positive year with a gig at Logie Steading Christmas Fayre and performing at Queens Park Residents Centre.
