WATCH: Fire appliances at scene of accident involving The Flying Scotsman
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of tonight's accident involving the world famous Flying Scotsman locomotive in Aviemore.
Police Scotland has confirmed that a man and a woman were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness but their injuries are understood not to be serious.
A force spokesperson said: "We received a report of two trains colliding at low speed at Aviemore Railway Station at around 7pm this evening (Friday).
"As a precaution, two people – a man and a woman – were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness by the Scottish Ambulance Service for treatment.
"Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
"A number of other passengers were assessed by the ambulance service at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent eight appliances to the scene including from Aviemore, Kingussie and Newtonmore.
Sirens could be heard in and around the village a short time after the incident.
Emergency services crews have since left the scene.
