TWO of the Highlands' most famous sons pulled on an iconic kit to see if they could help fine-tune an English rugby outfit's training regime.

Tom and Luke Stoltman are well used to handling heavy weights in their role as world's strongest brothers.

But this time the dynamic duo were working with the heavyweights training with Premiership Rugby outfit, Harlequins.

The Invergordon men have shown themselves game for a laugh as well as being lazer-focused on their world-beating strongman goals.

Tom, the current World’s Strongest Man and Luke, Europe’s Strongest Man, weigh a combined 334kg and showcased they’d make a hefty addition to the Quins pack.

The Scotsmen went head-to-head with the likes of England fly half Marcus Smith and rising star and loosehead prop Fin Baxter as they competed in strength and skill tests, including the Reign truck push and kicking.

As part of the training session, the Stoltmans shared their secrets behind what it takes to become the strongest men on the planet and the mentality and sacrifice required to reach the pinnacle of their sport.

Tabai Matson, Harlequins’ head coach, said: “The Stoltman brothers are impressive athletes and inspired the squad with their approach to their training and their love for their sport.

"There’s much we can learn from their commitment, intensity, and graft. Their kicking needs some work, so no contract discussions just yet, but watch this space.”
