ADVICE on how to vote in next month’s UK General Election has been issued by the Highlands’ Returning Officer.

With just over two weeks to go to the vote on Thursday, June 8, Steve Barron, chief executive of Highland Council, is reminding voters of the system, which will see voters mark their ballot paper with one cross in the box next to their preferred candidate.

Polling stations open from 7am to 10pm and you can only vote at the polling station named on your polling card.

Votes will be counted overnight at the Highland Football Academy, Dingwall.
