A VOLUNTEER “hit squad” has helped an Inverness school to spruce up its playground after being unable to have visitors on site for two years due to the pandemic.

The team from construction and civil engineering company BAM Nuttall descended on Cradlehall Primary School.

Headteacher Lawrence Sutherland said parents and friends had volunteered their services to help tidy things up, but there were some larger tasks which could not be undertaken without specialised help.

The BAM Nuttall team was assisted by Alasdair Bowen, of Morris Leslie Plant Hire.

“The team from BAM worked tirelessly throughout the day to get all the jobs completed,” Mr Sutherland said.

“The children now have better access to all their playground play equipment and also enjoy a brighter environment now that the railings have been refurbished.”
