A CHRISTMAS Fair will go ahead at the weekend, in spite of a flood that swept through a popular Loch Ness-side hotel.
Staff at the Clansman, at Brackla, near Drumnadrochit, said it had been a "bit of a crazy one" after the burn behind the hotel burst its banks.
While the hotel is facing flood damage to the entire downstairs of the hotel and gift shop - kind hearted staff decided they would continue with a Christmas market to help raise cash for MFR Cash for Kids.
In a social media post, staff said: "Well today has been a bit of a crazy one! Throughout the night last night the burn behind the hotel burst it’s banks and came through our carpark , flooding the entire downstairs level of the hotel and gift shop.
"With our Monster Christmas Fair in aid of MFR Cash for Kids being such a deserving cause around the corner this weekend, we have decided that we will still go ahead as planned, albeit with less carpets in our foyer and gift shop!"
They continued: "It would be such a shame to cancel given the countless hours of hard work our local crafters and vendors put in to make these events a success, so we’ll be pulling out all the stops to make sure we are ready for all you lovely people!"
The Monster Christmas Fair will take place this Saturday at the Clansman between 10am and 4pm with more than 20 stall holders taking part.
