‘Valuable’ Omega Seamaster watch stolen from Inverness gym, say Police Scotland officers in the Highlands
Police are appealing for information after a valuable watch worth potentially thousands of pounds was stolen from a gym in Inverness.
Officers said a thief stole an Omega Seamaster watch from a locker within PureGym in Inshes Retail Park on April 14.
The watch was described as "valuable" by officers, but they did not give its value.
However, Omega Seamasters can sell for several thousand pounds - and even used models can go for low four-figure sums on eBay.
"On April 14, around 2pm an Omega Seamaster watch was placed into a locker within the changing rooms of PureGym, Inverness," said a police spokesperson.
"When the owner returned about 4pm, it was no longer within his property.
"The watch is described as silver, with a blue face. It is of significant sentimental value to the owner.
"We would urge anyone who has any information on who may have the watch, or have seen any watches of similar description for sale online, to contact Police on 101 with 'reference number 2483 of April 14'."
