The Scottish Ambulance Service said one woman was taken to hospital after a collision on the A96 shortly after 8am.

They were unable to give any details of her condition.

The incident took place on the A96 in Milton of Gollanfield, north of Tornagrain.

A fire service spokesperson confirmed two appliances had been sent from Inverness, and had to force one of the car's doors open to remove casualties.

The road was closed in the immediate aftermath but is now running normally.
