UPDATE: Three appliances still at scene of Highland farm blaze this morning

THREE appliances are this morning still at the scene of a Highland farm blaze that prompted a major response yesterday afternoon.

The blaze that has devastated farm buildings near Kildary in Easter Ross prompted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to send six appliances when first notified just after 3pm yesterday afternoon.

This morning, a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 3.05pm on Tuesday, September 20 to reports of a fire affecting two farm buildings and hay bales near Kildary Bridge, Invergordon.

"Operations Control mobilised six appliances, a water carrier and other resources to the scene.

"Three appliances remain in attendance this morning.

"There are no reported casualties."
