More than £3000 has been raised to help pay for a celebration of the life of an Inverness teenager.

Bailey Matheson Munro (17) died on Thursday. A police spokesman said: “A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the cause of death, which is currently being treated as unexplained."

On Friday, a group of people launched an online crowdfunding page to celebrate his life.

So far, 160 donations have generated just over £3250.

Organisers of the crowdfunder stated: "As many of you know, our Bailey has tragically passed away.

"There is nobody like Bailey. He is the most kind-hearted, beautiful soul. Bailey truly had a heart of gold. Anything anybody needed, Bailey would go out of his way to make sure it was done. The most cheekiest boy but you could never be mad at him… his smile could light up a room…

"Thank you so much to all."
