UPDATE: Teen rushed to hospital and man arrested after crash on Inverness to Dingwall road

An 18-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on A835 Inverness to Dingwall road this afternoon.

Police have arrested a 56-year-old man in connection with a suspected road traffic offence. He was also taken to hospital to be checked over.

Officers are appealing for information following what they describe was a serious crash at around 1.10pm involving a black Vauxhall Corsa, a black Kia Sportage and a bronze Peugeot 3008.

The woman was driving the Corsa and the man was driving the Sportage.

No one else was injured.

The road was closed while the scene was investigated before reopening at around 5.45pm.

Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this crash and appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or arrived at the scene soon after to come forward.

“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation, then please get in touch.”
