Inverness Airport arrivals and departures have been hit with cancellations or delays, with only a few flights managing to either take off or land.

A spokesman for Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (Hial) said: “Adverse weather conditions are affecting services to and from Inverness airport today with fog leading to reduced visibility.

"We are liaising closely with our airlines and services will resume as soon as it safe to do so.

"If you are travelling today, please check with your airline."
