UPDATE: Person taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, following crash on A96 near Balloch

A PERSON was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the A96 east of Inverness.

The crash occurred at around 8.15am in the area of the Balloch junction.

A police spokesman said: “Around 8.15am police were called to the A96 near Inverness, following a report of a two-vehicle crash.

"One person was taken to hospital for assessment and recovery was arranged.”

The road was partially-blocked westbound following the collision, but crash scene has since been cleared.

In an update at around 9.30am Amey NE Trunk Roads confirmed the scene was no clear and "both lanes clear of obstruction".
