One person taken to hospital after crash on A9 near Dunrobin Castle

One person has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after a crash on the A9.

The accident between a car and a motorbike happened near Dunrobin Castle between Golspie and Brora.

The road still remains closed with a diversion in place.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 10.06am on September 30 to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A9 near Golspie, Highland.

"Operations Control mobilised two appliances and firefighters worked to support their partners and make the area safe before leaving the scene.

"One casualty was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by paramedics."
