A driver escaped injury after a one vehicle crash closed a minor Highland road for three hours this morning.

Emergency services were called to the accident on the B9176 Struie road north of Alness in the early hours of the morning.

A police spokeswoman said: "Around 3.35am on Tuesday, 23 January 2024, police received a report of a one vehicle crash on the B9176 road, approximately three miles north of Alness.

"There were no reports of anyone injured and the road was closed for around three hours to recover the vehicle."
