Police are investigating after a man received facial injuries during an incident in the Merkinch area of Inverness yesterday.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed that officers were called to an address in Skinner Court around 3.10pm yesterday following a report of a disturbance.
He said: "As a result of the incident, a 33-year-old man sustained facial injuries that are not described as life threatening. Officers attended and enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
