UPDATE: Man charged after two people hurt in A82 road crash by Loch Ness village of Drumnadrochit

A man has been charged after two people were taken to hospital following a road accident near Drumnadrochit.
The A82 was closed for almost two-and-a-half hours this morning after the collision just south of the Loch Ness-side village.
The road reopened at 11.45 am, but some controls remain in place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.20am on Monday, 1 May, 2023, we were called to a report of a two-vehicle crash on the A82 near Drumnadrochit.
"Emergency services attended and two people were taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.

"A 41-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for road traffic offences."
There is currently no information on the condition of the two people removed by ambulance.
Traffic Scotland’s latest update says the carriageway is now operating under contraflow in both directions, with one lane open and “some congestion”.
The accident disrupted access to Urquhart Castle where operators Historic Scotland issued a message saying: “We're contacting ticket holders with information on rearranging or refunding their tickets.”
