A 55-year-old man has been arrested following a disturbance in an Inverness street.

It follows a report earlier today of a heavy police presence involving officers and several police vehicles in Kenneth Street.

A Police Scotland spokesman said officers were made aware of a man causing a disturbance in Kenneth Street shortly after 10am.

"A 55-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing," he said. "No one was injured."
