Highland Council will be talking with travellers who are currently near Culloden West.

The group of caravans was spotted near Inverness this morning.

A Highland Council spokeswoman said: “The Highland Council was not aware of the unauthorised Gypsy/traveller encampment at Culloden West.

"Our staff will liaise with the people involved and progress the ‘Policy on supporting cooperation and managing unauthorised camps’ which sets out the multi-agency responsibilities and arrangements for responding to roadside encampments.

"A copy of the policy can be viewed on our website at the council website.”
