It is understood four people have been taken to hospital following a one-vehicle accident on the A9 near Dalwhinnie.

Their conditions are unclear and we don’t have any further details on ages or gender.

Traffic Scotland alerted people at around 5pm and notification of the incident has since been removed from its website indicating the road is now clear.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 4.30pm on Sunday, 16 July, 2023 officers were called to a report of a single vehicle crash on the A9 near Dalwhinnie."

It is believed at least one air ambulance was sent to the scene.

It is unclear what type of vehicle was involved in the crash.
