A blaze at an industrial site is now under control, it has been confirmed.

Thick black smoke and flames were spotted pouring from the former Norbord plant, at Dalcross, which is now part of West Fraser, earlier this afternoon.

The alarm was raised at 3.41pm and a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said there had been a total of seven appliances and a height vehicle which were sent to the scene.

She said that fire crews were still at the scene but the operation had been "scaled back" but confirmed that it was "under control".
