Fears are growing for a 24-year-old man missing from Ardersier since Wednesday.

Police issued an appeal for help in tracking down Jay Macrae, who was last seen in the Station Drive area of the village at 3pm that day

Growing concern for his safety prompted the appeal less than four hours later.

He is described as being 6ft, of medium build, with short brown hair. He was wearing a black padded jacket and blue Adidas trainers.

Police Scotland said this morning there had no progress in finding the man, with enquiries are ongoing to trace him.

Sergeant Martyn Cameron said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Jay’s welfare and are asking for the help of the public to help trace him."

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 quoting incident number 2127 of Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
