UPDATE: A9 on Black Isle near Tore roundabout clear following earlier accident

AN accident which had blocked part of the A9 on the Black Isle near the Tore roundabout has been cleared.

A car had struck a safety barrier earlier prompting approaching traffic to slow down.

Police attended the single-vehicle incident.

Traffic Scotland posted: "The A9 near to the Tore Roundabout is now fully clear following an earlier collision."

Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of a crash involving a single car on the A9 southbound near Tore Roundabout around 7.30am on Monday, January 16.

"There were no reports of any injuries."
