UPDATE: A9 reopens following 'serious' crash near Newtonmore

UPDATE: 90-year-old man died after road crash on A9 near Newtonmore

The A9 reopened in both directions last night following a 'serious' crash near Newtonmore.

Part of the road was closed in both directions for around seven hours following the collision. The road closure was reported by Traffic Scotland at around 2.44pm yesterday.

It is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
