Traffic Scotland said the road was closed in both directions.

THE A82 has reopened in both directions at Invergarry following an earlier road collision, Traffic Scotland has announced.

But, confirming the news at 5.25pm, Traffic Scotland warned motorists to expect further possible disruption as traffic "remains heavy in the area".

The reopening of the road followed an earlier update at 4.48pm, when Traffic Scotland confirmed the initial closure.

Tweeting at the time, it had described the collision as “serious” and warned that there was “traffic queuing both ways”.

There was no immediate word on the number of vehicles involved or if there were any injuries.

However, by 5.25pm, Traffic Scotland Tweeted its latest update to confirm the road was now open again.
