Hundreds of bulbs have been planted at the UHI Inverness Campus.

Students from across the Highlands have helped prepare the college grounds for spring.

In a social media post a spokesperson for UHI Inverness said: "Our campus grounds will be a riot of colour next spring thanks to the efforts of our Young Gardeners Exploring Group members who really dug in and planted a staggering 800 bulbs between September and December.

"We can’t wait to see the results of all their hard work!

"Supported Education Schools’ Group students from Kingussie, Dingwall, Nairn and Inverness Royal Academy have been working with our gardening volunteer John Walmsley every Monday.

"As well as the planting, they have also planned and built a bespoke bug hotel in our wellbeing garden and made outdoor decorations and signs.

"A huge well done to the students, staff and John for this fantastic contribution."
